Truist publishes its ATM withdrawal limits in its official fee schedule, and they depend on your Truist One Checking level: $500 per day for Levels 1 and 2 (and most other accounts, including the Truist Confidence Account), $2,500 per day for Levels 3, 4, and Premier, and $5,000 per day for Truist Marquee Checking. Your level is set by your total relationship balance, so the limit rises automatically as your balances grow.

This guide covers the full limit table, how the levels work, the separate purchase limits, Truist’s ATM fees and its tiered fee-waiver ladder, and cardless access at Truist machines.

How to raise your Truist ATM limit

  • Grow into a higher level: the jump from $500 to $2,500 happens at Level 3, which requires $25,000 in total qualifying balances. This is automatic, no request needed.
  • Call Truist at 844-4TRUIST (844-487-8478) to ask about a limit change for your card. Truist does not publish a self-service app setting for ATM limits; the app’s card controls cover spending limits, locking, and travel settings.
  • Use a teller: counter withdrawals at a Truist branch near you are limited by your balance, not the ATM cap. Call ahead for very large amounts.
  • Cash back at checkout draws from your $3,000 point of sale limit rather than the ATM cap.

Cardless withdrawals at Truist ATMs

Many Truist ATMs support digital wallet access: add your Truist debit card to your phone’s wallet, look for the contactless symbol on the machine, hold your phone near the reader, enter your PIN, and take your cash. Truist runs more than 2,800 ATMs and over 1,900 branches across 17 states and Washington DC, so check for the contactless symbol, not every machine has the reader yet.
